National walk for MOthers' mental health
Mothers' Mental Health Care CAN'T Wait!
In honor of World Mental Health Day (October 10), Count on Mothers launched the National Walk for Mothers’ Mental Health — a 10-day movement where moms across the U.S. walk together in their communities to raise awareness about the urgent mental health needs of mothers and children.
Here's how it works:
Step 1: Pick Your Day Pick a date between October 1–10 leading up to World Mental Health Day.
Step 2: Walk Your Loop Solo or with friends.
Step 3: Show Your Support Wear green to honor mental health awareness. Snap a photo or video to share and contribute to the national tapestry of images showcasing moms’ collective impact.
New data from our national report–Pulse Check 2025: Mothers on Child Mental Health Impacts, Care, and Support–shows 55% of mothers are worried about their children’s mental health and struggle to navigate the healthcare system.
Of those, 66% also report difficulty caring for their own mental health. The #1 barrier? Time!
The action guide of recommendations is available in the report, it’s clear that raising awareness and advocating for stronger mental health support is critical.
