Whether you serve as an Anchor Mom Advisor or simply believe in our mission, all mothers are invited to Join the Count — our national community sharing lived experience to help inform independent research and strengthen the systems that shape family life across the U.S.

We are grateful to the thousands of U.S. mothers who shared their perspectives. Their lived experiences help inform independent research and deepen understanding of how emerging technologies are shaping family life.
As artificial intelligence becomes more integrated into children’s daily experiences, this national study examines how U.S. mothers are navigating its risks, benefits, and unknowns. In collaboration with:

If you’re a mother, you can join The Count — our national community of mothers who choose to stay engaged with this work. Members may occasionally be invited to share their perspectives through brief reflections, roundtables, or research updates.
While our nationally representative surveys are conducted through independent research partners, The Count ensures that lived experience remains central to how we frame questions, interpret findings, and communicate insights.
Join The Count to receive research updates and occasional opportunities to share your lived experience as part of a national community of mothers.
Count on Mothers is a data-driven legislative advocacy tool for mothers with the purpose of surveying mothers’ first-hand knowledge and using that information to impact policies that directly affect the well-being of families.
When a bill that could affect children or families is introduced to the House or Senate, Count on Mothers runs a survey to capture data that will help legislators understand how the legislation could impact American families.
Count on Mothers will provide a quick and easy tool for real-time data during a time-sensitive legislative process.

Roundtables provide space for mothers to reflect on themes emerging from our research and share lived experience in greater depth. While nationally representative surveys form the backbone of our benchmark data, these conversations allow for nuance, context, and perspective beyond structured survey questions.
Participation in roundtables is voluntary, and discussions may inform public reports, expert briefings, or educational content. Personal information is never shared without consent, and research findings are always presented independently and in aggregate.
Whether you join The Count or participate in a roundtable conversation your lived experience contributes to a deeper understanding of the realities shaping family life today.

In September 2023, we hosted interviews with mothers discussing childcare affordability and access.
Insights from these conversations were summarized and shared with policymakers and stakeholders engaged in family policy discussions.
