About Count on Mothers

Count on Mothers, LLC ("Count on Mothers," "we," "us," or "our") conducts recurring, nationally representative research with U.S. mothers. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through our website, newsletter, surveys, and related research activities, how we use that information, and the choices you have. By using our website or participating in our research, you agree to the practices described below.

Information we collect

We collect information in three primary ways:

  • Information you provide directly. When you subscribe to our newsletter (The Count), register for an event, request a research briefing, apply to become an Anchor Mom Advisor, or participate in a Count on Mothers survey, we collect the information you submit — which may include your name, email address, state of residence, age range of your youngest child, and demographic information relevant to research participation.
  • Survey responses. When you participate in a Count on Mothers survey, we collect the responses you provide. Survey responses are analyzed and reported in aggregate. Individual responses are not published or shared with third parties in a form that identifies you.
  • Automatically collected information. When you visit our website, we and our service providers may collect standard technical information including IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited, referring URL, and general location derived from IP address. This information is collected through cookies, pixels, and similar technologies.

How we use information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Conduct and publish nationally representative research on U.S. mothers and families, including the recurring National Benchmark of U.S. Mothers;
  • Send our newsletter (The Count), research updates, event invitations, and other communications you have opted into;
  • Operate, maintain, and improve our website and research programs;
  • Verify survey participation eligibility and maintain the integrity of our research panel;
  • Respond to inquiries and requests for briefings or partnership information;
  • Comply with legal obligations and protect the rights and safety of Count on Mothers, our participants, and the public.

How research findings are shared

Count on Mothers publishes research findings in aggregate form through reports, briefings, our website, our Substack publication, and partner channels. We do not publish or share individually identifiable survey responses. Aggregated findings may be shared with institutional subscribers, policymakers, journalists, and the general public.

When we conduct research in collaboration with academic, institutional, or media partners, those collaborations are governed by written agreements that preserve the confidentiality of individual participants and the independence of our research methodology and findings.

Third-party service providers

We work with third-party service providers that help us operate our website, newsletter, and research programs. These may include:

  • Survey hosting and panel providers (for example, SurveyMonkey and Centiment);
  • Email service providers (for example, Brevo);
  • Website hosting and analytics providers (for example, Webflow, Google Analytics, and Meta's measurement tools);
  • Payment processors (where applicable for institutional subscriptions).

These providers are permitted to use your information only to perform services on our behalf and are contractually obligated to protect it.

Cookies and tracking technologies

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to support site functionality, measure performance, and understand how visitors engage with our content. You can control cookies through your browser settings. Some parts of the site may not function properly if cookies are disabled.
